Halloween Parties

Monday, October 31, will be our Halloween parties. Below are the plans for each grade level concerning dressing up in costumes for the party:
-Kindergarten: wear costumes to school
-1st – 3rd grades: send costume to school in a bag (students will change before the party)
-4th – 5th grades: have the option to bring a costume to change into for the party
-6th grade: students will not be dressing up

When deciding upon a costume, please keep these guidelines in mind:
-No blood or gore such as: pretend wounds, eyeballs hanging out, imitation blood, or other gory special effects
-No bare midriff or extremely short outfits
-No weapons including: guns, knives, swords, or other sharp or dangerous objects

The parade for the kindergarten through second grade students will begin shortly after 1 PM.

Spirit Wear

Looking for an easy Christmas present, order Lettie Brown spirit wear!

Two Easy Ways to Order
1) Send order form to school with your child. Spirit wear orders due NO LATER than November 4th.

OR

2) PTO will have a table at the Carnival on Friday, November 4th where you may order and pay for your spirit wear.

All orders will come home before Christmas break (if this is a present please mark clearly and we will call you to come pick up).

This is a reminder that your child's classroom is collecting items for a themed basket that will be raffled at the Brown Carnival on November 4th. Please send in items to your child's classroom by November 1. You can email your child's teacher or Lisa Fetla (klfetla@msn.com) if you have questions.

Red Ribbon Week

Next week is Red Ribbon Week. The goal of Red Ribbon Week is to give students tools in order to say no to drugs. There will be different activities for each day. Students are encouraged to bring in canned food on Monday to donate to We Care. The week will conclude with a Talent Show. Linked below is more information regarding the week.

L. Brown Carnival

The Lettie Brown Carnival will be November 4th from 5-8 PM. We are still looking for some volunteers to help that evening. If you are interested in helping, please complete this form and return it to the office.

There will be an Usborne Book Fair during Carnival. Complete this form for a chance to win a free item.

Ice Cream Science

Mrs. Knox's 3rd grade class is currently studying the states of matter. Today they investigated a liquid changing into a solid as they made ice cream.
