25 Word Writing Contest

Below is the information that was sent home with students regarding our 25 word writing contest.

Learning to be a great writer is one of the objectives for students at Lettie Brown. In order to practice writing, Lettie Brown is having a writing contest. The challenge of this contest is writing an extraordinary story in 25 words or less.
Specifics regarding the contest:
§  The story needs to be 25 words or less
§  The story should have a beginning, middle and end
§  All students, kindergarten through sixth grade, have the option to participate
§  Stories need to be turned into the office by May 4th
§  A winner will be chosen from each grade level
Here is an example of a 25 word story:
§  My ice cream cone was fresh and cold. The day was hot. The day was old. I’d better eat it before it drips. Yum!
